The Tasting Room to spice things up in Germany

Well-known and internationally acclaimed chef, Margot Janse and her team will be going to the Rheingau Gourmet & Wine Festival, taking place from 25 February -3 March 2016 in Wiesbaden, Germany.

This year not only marks the 20th anniversary of this popular food and wine festival, but also highlights 20 years of exquisite fine dining for Margot, Executive Chef at the award winning restaurant, The Tasting Room at Le Quartier Français.
Le Quartier Français was acquired by Leeu Collection on 1 September 2015.

During the food and wine festival, Wiesbaden’s central Schlossplatz is transformed by booths, carts, and stages to house the Rhine River viticulture area’s best wines and foods. This year’s programme promises a better than ever line up of all things wine and the food stages will be dominated by world flavours of Beirut, Singapore, California, South Africa, Holland, Italy, Switzerland and many more.

Margot, together with Head Chef Gerald van der Walt, as well as Junior Sous Chef Annalize Louw, will share their story telling through Margot’s African inspired cuisine to the festival. With her true belief that food is constantly evolving, and that unforgettable dishes always have an element of surprise and nostalgia about them, Margot and her team is set to capture the hearts and minds of all.
