The best blogger recipes of 2010

Reading food magazines is one of my favourite all time activities.

But let’s face it, that does not come close to hanging around in a friend’s kitchen while they cook for you.

And that is why the best part of Food24 is undoubtedly the food blogs, because it is like peering over the shoulders of many foodie friends as they prepare their favourite dishes at home. Just like a real-life friend you get to pick up some tips and listen to their stories. Plus you don’t have to phone for the recipe a week later – you can get it instantly.

I remember restaurant editor Cath’s excitement the morning My Easy Cooking showed us the chicken breyani she made the night before, inspired by her visit to legendary spice seller Atlas Trading. And how did we drool over Simply Delicious’s lamb bunny chow or Jan Tripepi’s lipsmacking butter chicken? And that is the point isn’t it. Being inspired to try something different, take a trip down memory lane or simply to check that the way you make it, is still the best.

So to make your meal-planning a bit easier this year, we have rounded up the Top 25 most-clicked on blog recipes from 2010.

And to sweeten the deal – and because a record number of you clicked on our article last week about the Top 20 recipes of 2010 where we shared the most popular recipes from our database – we’ve also done a list of the Top 10 vegetarian recipes and the Top 20 chicken recipes that you clicked on last year.

Enjoy!
