What are tapas?
A ‘tapa’ is not a type of food, but a way of eating it. It originated in Spain many years ago at the casual street wine bars when
small plates of food were placed over glasses to keep the flies out.
South Africa and many other parts of the world are embracing
the tapas style of eating which are basically small bowls or plates of
flavoursome food that are eaten many at a time. It’s a great way to enjoy lots
of different dishes and a casual and interactive style of dining.
Rules
Anything goes as long as it is your own recipe.
We’ll be judging on recipe, originality and presentation.
Once we have chosen the top recipes, we throw the final decision out to you.
