Summer weekend menu

It’s time to push your winter warmers to the back of the cupboard, and hang up your umbrellas. The sun has arrived and it looks like it’s here to stay. So shake out your beach towels and lather yourself in suntan lotion, this weekend menu is themed around having fun in the sun.

Friday:


Relax on your deck and pop open a bottle of your favourite wine – the

Pair it with a crispy Thai beef and glass noodle salad.

Saturday:

Throw together a big bowl of juicy, summer fruit with yoghurt and homemade muesli.

Apricots, mulberries, bananas, oranges, lemons, grapefruit, naartjies, guava, paw-paw, pineapples, kiwi, and strawberries are all in season now, so take your pick.

Invite family and friends over for an evening braai. Put big jugs of refreshing lemonade on the table
and serve a gorgeous

Sunday:

And you can’t celebrate summer without lollipops – these morello cherry lollies or frozen yoghurt lollies will make anyone smile, big or small.
