I shouldn’t need to remind you that Mother’s Day is this Sunday. And it will be the first time in many years that I will be spending the day with my mom. She lives quite far away so I’ve never been able to plan something really fun to do with her, and now I’m starting to see how hard it actually is to ensure that her day is super special. Gosh, so much pressure!
I was advised that if you’re looking for Mother’s Day gifts – don’t go generic! Know your target market and stick to something that is personal and that means something. If I had all the money in the world, I would my mom a plane ticket to visit my little brother who lives in the United States. I know she misses him a lot! But since that isn’t realistically going to happen, I need to find something that will work. She’s a big Nigel Slater fan and has been eyeing one of his new cookbooks so that makes it a bit easier in choosing something I know she’ll like.
