Relationship woes, brunch dates and iconic fashion moments – the smash hit TV series from a pre-Netflix era, Sex and the City was the anthem of a generation.
The lead actress, Sarah Jessica Parker (SJP) has burst back on to social media radars this week, with the announcement of a collab wine label with Invivo & Co – which is owned by chat show host Graham Norton. Small world, huh?
Teasers were released on Instagram – with hints that something was brewing on SJP’s feed.
The actress joins the growing legion of celebrities who have ventured into the wine world. Earlier this year, we reported that Pink had been secretly working on her world class wine estate in California, and SA’s own Bonang released her own MCC in 2019.
Sarah’s wine is a Sauvignon Blanc from the famous New Zealand region of Marlborough. It’s a sophisticated wine, with “Lifted notes of grapefruit, honeysuckle flower, passionfruit and citrus zest.” The tasting notes continue: “The palate is expansive and leads with a wall of sweet-scented fruits and a soft but balanced acid spine”. It sounds like a real show stopper!
The wine is blended to be the perfect after-work glass of white wine. SJP admitted in a recent interview: “At the end of the work day, I have a glass of wine. Literally, every single day. Every. Single. Day,” she said.
Due to be released in the US in September, it will be followed by a Rosé wine in the coming months. What better way to end a hard day at the office, than to kick off your Manolos and sip on a little SJP Sauv. Cheers!
