SA’s best olives oils for 2018 have been revealed – here they are

The South African olive oil industry celebrated its best olive oils this year at the SA Olive Awards held at La Paris estate in Franschhoek. The awards signify and acknowledge the culmination of hard work and the strive for excellence within the local industry.

“The price differentiation between good and bad olive oil is starting to be understood. And there’s no truer saying that until you taste good olive oil, you have no idea how bad, bad olive oil tastes” says Nick Wilkinson – SA Olive Chairman. 

“I believe opportunity knocks and sometimes very softly, and if you believe a rising tide lifts all boats, then it is time that we stand together as producers who can make a difference pushing our quality, growing our producer base and building export markets to become part of the solution to the ills of our country. We have the ability to become a solution in providing opportunity and employment”.
