At last South Africans have woken up to the wondrousness of
the food market.
They’ve become cool. So cool in fact that you will have to
fight your way through the sea of foodie folk guzzling
their way through the delectable treats being peddled by artisans and farmers
alike.
It’s like an Italian dream (but in Seff Efricen) with organic vegetables, fresh fish and beautiful
flowers. There’s things like pomegranate juice, organic coffee and muffins the
size of your head to munch on whilst you meander around the stalls and fill
your bag with hand-picked mushrooms, cured meat, and raw chocolate.
It’s also a small step closer to using our local
producers and getting fresh and seasonal goodies onto our tables.
