Roquefort funeral in Aus

Passionate cheese specialist and television host, entrepreneur Will Studd has fought to allow raw-milk cheese to be sold in Australia.

However the battles is lost as the
Food Standards Australia and New Zealand (FSANZ ) has to ban the production and sale of most cheese made from raw milk.

While the rest of the world is allowed to eat raw milk cheese such as Fontina Val d’Aosta, Swiss Gruyère,Roquefort and English Cheddar the FSANZ thinks it is unsafe for Australians.

Studd has been embroiled in a battle with the FSANZ while 80kg’s of French cheese sat in cold storage at Melbourne Dock waiting to either be sold or trashed as the FSANZ examined the matter.

However Studd lost the battle and true to his word he had a burial for the French cheese with a hearse and a French flag covering the doomed cheese.
