Mr Romantic has stolen our hearts with
his review of Kalk Bay’s famous Polana Restaurant, you’ll most definitely want to go there after reading it! But the winner for the grand Nobu prize goes
to Reinmar and partner for the review of their night of romance at the Greenhouse Restaurant at the
Cellars-Hohenort Hotel and they’ll be dining at Nobu with their very own Omakase
Valentine’s Menu.
Also getting an honourable mention in this year’s romantic
line-up from the fairest Cape are Mange Tout in Franschhoek, The Blowfish Restaurant in Blouberg, The Duchess of Wisbeach in Seapoint and one of Cape Town’s
favourites, The Roundhouse, getting the nod from Nina.
From Gauteng, Ashley has given
EI8HTEEN the big thumbs up and for his poetic efforts he’ll be very well looked after at
his very favourite romantic restaurant. Nice.
Other romantic Gauteng hotspots are Longmeadow Restaurant
and Piano Lounge, our reader 7ate9 is just in love with The Patisserie and
highly recommended for a romantic night out in Pretoria is Die Werf.
In Durban its Market in Morningside that seems to be favourite amongst romantics, but the review that steals the show has got to be Debbie’s
one for Marco’s Italian in Windermere. Well done Debbie, you and whomever you wish to
take with you will be welcomed in style and wined and dined at Moyo uShaka Pier.
A special mention goes to Marita from Port Elizabeth – we
loved her romantic review of De Kelder and she’ll be getting a R250 Kalahari
Voucher from Food24.
