Review the New

Yes please! Summer has landed. Apart from a freak winter
spell that recently hit the rest of the country, Cape Town is in full summer
shwing!  All the models have jetted in,
the soft-tops are down, sunglasses on and Happy Hours abound.  There is no going back now.

And to mark this long-awaited turning of the season, the Cape
Quarter Extension in Greenpoint  has
opened its doors and lavishly welcomed notoriously fickle Capetonians to give
the new restaurants a whirl.

Vanilla – trendy Manhattan style sophistication with
a superstar chef, Evan Coosner formerly of Riboville, in the kitchen.

Lazari – all who know the original little gem in Vredehoek
have flocked to its new bigger and brighter brother to see and be seen. Shedloads of outside space, fresh, funky – appealing.  To the wallet too.

Cru Café – the new spot for wine quaffers to appreciate
their hobby in trendy surroundings.

And don’t forget Voila – with their already
much-talked-about breakfast offerings.

So it looks like there’s something for everyone there. Check
out what people are saying… but bear in mind all of these places are brand
spanking new, so let’s give them the benefit of the doubt. For now.

Review the new and
win A HUGE prize!

And as we are often reminded Cape Town is not the centre of
the universe and there exist people beyond the winelands that enjoy dining
out.  So we’d really like to hear about
any new, hot & happening places that have opened near you.

We are asking you to review any new restaurants that have
recently opened their doors and are worthy of a bit of a punt… or a bunt.

The very best review to come our way will win a dinner for
two at the Bistro @ The Peech in Melrose worth R500. And that’s not all… oh no
no…  The Peech Hotel is also giving the lucky diners a night in the hotel worth R2500. Now that’s hot and happening!

So get down on it and win yourself a night of decadence.

If the restaurant you’d like to review is not listed with us
please drop me a mail with details at cath@food24.com
and we’ll put it up right away.

The second best review will get a R250
Kalahari gift voucher. So even if you don’t see yourself jetting to Jo’burg to dine
at the Bistro @ The Peech – why not send in your reviews anyway – let’s give these new
restaurants a push in the right direction.
