Rat-a-too-ee

“Ratatouille” pronounced Rat-a-too-ee, is a product of the mega-hits creators of “The Incredibles” and “Cars”. This scrumptious new animated-adventure tells the tale of a common French rat named Remy who refuses to nibble on garbage but rather scrounge for gourmet snacks and pour over his prized possession cookbook.

Remy dreams of becoming a great chef despite his family’s wishes and the huge obstacle of being a rat in a rat-phobic profession.

When fate takes Remy from the French countryside to the sewers of Paris, he finds himself situated beneath the world-famous restaurant made famous by his hero the late Auguste Gusteau.

Despite the dangers of being a very much unwanted visitor in a posh French restaurant, Remy finds himself in an unlikely partnership with Linguini, the restaurant garbage boy who loves the exciting world of food but can’t cook to save his life.

“Ratatouille” is a coming of age story, about following your dreams and making them come true. It’s also about the power of friendship and courage.
Thrown into the pot is a bit of romance and the battle between good versus evil.

“Ratatouille” opens in South African Theatres on September 21st 2007. For a sneak preview
