Alecia Moore, known to her fans as P!nk, discovered a love of wine a few years ago. On her world tours as a musician, she made time to sneak away to vineyards all over the world to taste and enjoy the local wines.

On the website for her wine label, Two Wolves Wine, Moore speaks about her journey into wine, “I made pilgrimages to wine regions all over the world: Bordeaux, Australia, Napa, South Africa, Paso Robles, the Central Coast.”

She fitted in some all-important wine education in between gigs, “I started online courses at WSET and UCLA. I would jump off stage sweating and shaking from adrenaline, and hurry to my computer to take my tests.”

About 5 years ago, Alecia and her husband Carey Hart bought a vineyard in Santa Barbara County, California just north of Los Angeles. Their dream to become winemakers was only beginning, and what followed was “ the hardest labor I have ever done outside of a concert”.

The Philadelphia Inquirer reported on the philosophy of the wine label: “Notably, this is Alecia Moore’s passion project, not Pink’s. There’s a reason the name Pink does not appear anywhere on the Two Wolves website, and she’s not even making a pink wine (which would have been a marketer’s dream).”

After years of hard work with her team (and impressive secrecy), the first batch of Two Wolves wines was released this past November. Within 24 hours all 114 cases of Cabernet Sauvignon, a Cabernet Franc and a Petit Verdot were sold out! The bottles are not cheap either, being priced between R800 and R1200 per bottle.

More stock from Two Wolves Wine is to be released online in April 2019, but until then you can follow Alecia’s journey on her Instagram account.
