Rachael Ray’s dog slop

The Rachel Ray Nutrish pet foods are based on recipes she has created for her pit bull, Isaboo.

Ray, who came to fame with her 30 Minute Meals Food Network show, said all of her proceeds from sales of the dog food will go to Rachael’s Rescue, which she founded to help at-risk animals.

“It seemed like not a lot of extra time to donate to something that could potentially raise millions of dollars for championing these little creatures that can’t speak for themselves,” Ray told the Associated Press.

The Nutrish line includes dog food and treats in chicken, beef, bacon and peanut butter flavours.

The outspoken dog lover regularly features recipes for pet food in her magazine, Every Day with Rachael Ray.

She also has a Food Network show called Rachel Ray Feeds Your Pets, which entertains and provides practical advice about safe and nutritious food for pets.

A line for cats is also on the way.

In response to the unleashing of Rachael Ray’s dog food line, celeb-skewing artist 14 visually mused on what product line extensions might come about should other TV chefs join the pack.

Paula Deen might make some Varmint Vittles or how about some of Gordon Ramsay’s 100% F***ing Organic Hell Hound.
