Polenta

Polenta is a ground cornmeal. It comes in different grades of coarseness and is usually yellow, although one also find white cornmeal. Part of Italy’s staple diet, polenta is very rich in starch.

Use:It’s an extremely versatile product which can be eaten hot with a little butter, or cooled until firm, then cut into squares and fried. It can be served as a course, a side dish or an entrée, and can be used in snacks or as a breakfast food. It’s also idea for vergetarians.
