PARTNER CONTENT: 4 great gin cocktail recipes for summer

1. Charred orange and lime gin and tonic

DIFFICULTY: Easy 

PREP TIME: 15 min

COOK TIME: 10 min (charring the orange)

INGREDIENTS:

• 50mls Whitley Neill Dry gin

• 2 fresh charred oranges

• 2 coriander sprigs

• 1 fresh charred lime wedge

• Premium tonic water

METHOD:Char the lime wedge and orange wedge on a hot grill or pan to give them a smoky flavour. Pour the gin into a long glass over ice and squeeze one of each fruits into the glass. Top off with tonic and use the other remaining two fruits and the coriander sprigs to garnish with.

1. Raspberry French 75

DIFFICULTY: Easy 

PREP TIME: 5 min

COOK TIME: 0

INGREDIENTS:

• 2 shots Whitley Neil Raspberry gin

• 1 shot freshly squeezed lemon juice

• 3/4 shot raspberry syrup

• 2 raspberries (for garnish)

• 1 egg white (optional)

METHOD:Add egg white into a cocktail shaker and dry shake (shake without ice) vigorously for half a minute. Add raspberry syrup, raspberry gin, lemon juice and ice into the shaker and shake until cocktail shaker is frosty on the outside. Strain your drink into a rock glass and garnish with a fresh raspberry and lemon twist.

2. Gin summer breeze

DIFFICULTY: Easy 

PREP TIME: 7 min

COOK TIME: 0

INGREDIENTS:

• 50ml Whitley Neill Aloe & Cucumber gin

• 3 fresh basil leaves

• 2 slices cucumber

• 15ml agave syrup or Honey

• 20ml aloe vera juice

• 1 dash lemon juice

• sparkling water to top off

METHOD:Muddle the basil leaves and cucumber slices with agave syrup in a cocktail shaker, add the gin, aloe vera juice and shaker until drink is chilled. Double strain drink into a cocktail glass over cubed ice then top off with a splash of sparkling water. Garnish with a cucumber slice and a long thin slice of aloe vera.

3. Protea and cranberry spritzer

DIFFICULTY: Easy 

PREP TIME: 7 min

COOK TIME: 0

INGREDIENTS:

• 2 shots Whitley Neill Protea and Hibiscus gin

• 50 ml cherry liqueur

• 1 shot cranberry juice

• 3-5 fresh blackberries or mixed berries

• ¼ shot elderflower liqueur

• 20 ml Prosecco

METHOD:Muddle blackberries with gin, elderflower syrup, add the cranberry juice and cherry liqueur then shake with cubed ice. Strain ingredients into a coupe glass over ice and top with Prosecco. Garnish with a fresh blackberry.
