If you’ve ever been on the hunt for Cape Town’s best inner city breakfast joint, chances are you’ve found your way to Jason Bakery – on the corner of Bree and Bloem. This is where fans of Jason Lilley’s pastries flock each morning for that instantly gratifying bite into one of life’s greatest gifts – the croissant.

So it’s with über-excitement that the biker-slash-baker revealed on social media that he’s just opened a dedicated croissant café… on the beach!

Say hello to Hey Maison J!

The café is a partnership with the Camps Bay Pick n Pay. They currently have an opening special – a croissant and a flat white for R35 (we’ll still need to check if he charges extra for almond milk – because: Cape Town). But you can also look forward to bagels, baguettes, quiches, sandwiches and of course, quality coffee. They use Salvador certified organic single-estate coffee imported from Nicaragua, for all the coffee connoisseurs.
