One&Only responds to Maze closure

When Gordon Ramsay’s Maze was closed down last Thursday at midnight, not too many people were surprised and now the dust has settled the rumours have started about who is going to fill Gordon Ramsay’s shoes. According to local blogger spill.co.za Reuben Riffel is the man who will be taking over.

When we contacted Reuben’s in Franschhoek they denied the rumour.

Etienne de Villiers, Public Relations Manager at The One&Only Cape Town had this to say:

“We can confirm that Gordon Ramsay Holdings Limited’s engagement as a consultant to One&Only Cape Town has terminated.  As a result, the restaurant at One&Only Cape Town no longer trades under the maze brand, but the restaurant will remain owned and operated by One&Only Cape Town and will continue to offer daily breakfast, lunch and dinner.

“Now called The Restaurant at One&Only Cape Town, it offers a contemporary South African take on classic dishes that include salads, gourmet pizzas and a wide selection of meat, fish and vegetarian dishes, whilst focussing on the freshest local seasonal produce.”

We will be watching this space with interest.
