New Champagne glass moulded on Kate Moss’s breasts

The shallow, rounded Champagne coupes that we know today, were, according to legend, shaped after Marie Antoinette’s perfect breasts.

The design hasn’t been modernised this century. Model, Kate Moss has cordially offered her boobs to shape a glass to meet our bubble-sipping requirements. Jane McAdam Freud, a British sculptor, took a mould of Moss’s left breast for the glass.

The glass was made for London’s fine dining restaurant, 34, where Moss lunched for her 40th birthday. Another event worth celebrating is Moss’s impressive 25 years in the modelling industry.

Moss said it was exciting to be involved in the project and walk in the shoes of Marie Antoinette, “a very intriguing and mischievous character.”

An event will be hosted by Moss on 8 October to celebrate the glass and the launch of P2-1998, Dom Pérignon’s latest vintage.
