#Trending loves Darling Sweet, a local brand of delicious toffees in awesome packaging. They recently released a new line of caramels to add to their range, which comes in salted caramel, summer berry, ginger and cardamom, chocolate and orange, and salted liquorice flavours. We tasted them all to determine our favourite.
“I don’t really enjoy toffee but I can get behind these soft caramels. After just two of these scrumptious cubes of delight, I was sold. It isn’t too sticky. I have this thing with food that sticks to the palate. It freaks me out. This didn’t have that. I particularly enjoyed the chocolate and orange soft caramels, and I can honestly say that I will be having these again.” – Phumlani S Langa
“I was really excited to try the ginger and cardamon flavour. It sounds exotic and unique. When I tried it, the ginger and cardamon flavour didn’t really come out as I’d hoped. It’s very subtle and you almost can’t taste it. For that reason the salted caramel is my favourite flavour. It’s soft and creamy, and the addition of salt brings out the caramel flavour.” – Grethe Kemp
