Marmite pinwheels

If you’re struggling with a cold or feel the need for comfort food, these are sure to sort you out.

•   puff pastry

•   Marmite

•   2 handfuls of grated white cheddar cheese

Spread a sheet of puff pastry with just enough Marmite so that it’s flavourful without being overwhelming. Sprinkle evenly with 2 handfuls of grated white cheddar cheese and roll up firmly. Cut into 1.5cm-thick pinwheels and arrange them on a baking tray lined with baking paper. Bake in a preheated oven at 200°C for about 15 minutes or until just cooked and bubbling. Tuck in immediately. This is a delicious side dish with chicken soup — the other traditional remedy if you’re feeling out of sorts. The pinwheels also make a tasty road trip snack or lunchbox filler — if there are any left!
