March “ZEF” Vin-atics

Hello peeps,

What a great month for drinking wine! We started it off with an absolute bang by having one of the most fun Vin-atics evenings we’ve ever had – our Zef Vin-atics Braai!  I have to confess to being rather worried about this whole idea – what were we going to drink, would they be terrible and would anybody even speak to the English girl the whole night?!

Luckily Afrikaans-speaking folk are pretty friendly, accommodating folk, who are always up for a tjop n dop and the whole evening turned out to be an absolute blast. Not surprising really when you think about the totally awesome guest line-up we had with Women24 deputy ed Lili Radloff, and husband, top Food24 blogger and cheffy genius Kobus van der Merwe and the inimitable Spit or Swallow. If you want to read all about it, then check out our blog here.

And now it’s your turn!

We had LOADS of entries for the Vin-atics competition in February – you do like your braais out there don’t you? Finally, we were happy to judge one of our favourite bloggers, Pink Polka Dot, the winner for her wonderful post about her housewarming party – read about it here. Many congrats Pink and I hope you enjoy the case of Welmoed Wines.

But stop! If you thought it was easy last month – it’s just as easy this month as well!! And the rewards are huge with a R500 Cybercellar voucher up for grabs – that’s enough to buy 25 bottles of Tassies nogal! All you have to do is choose a couple of recipes from our Vin-atics menu (I strongly recommend the braaibroodjies and the coffee beer can chicken!!), invite a few friends, find some of our wines – see the notes here – take some pictures and tell us about what an awesome time you had!! It’s so easy and you can win yourself lots of lovely wine – in a box, in a bag, in a bottle – anyway you like it, we don’t care!

Post your report on your blog and email the link to editor@food24.com or just email us your story and some pictures. All entries must be received by the end of the month. Enjoy the food and wine and happy braaiing!

Cheers
