A man watching the World Cup Final was rather distraught to open a candy bar he was very much looking forward to eating, to find a rather graphic image of a penis on the chocolate.
According to this article from the Metro the lawyer from London was stunned to see the image, and apart from leaving a bad taste in his mouth, it was also a World Cup Final memory tainted by the experience.
‘I always have a way of remembering World Cups and now the 2014 World Cup will always be remembered as the “Milky Bar penis” – it’s not a great way to remember it.’
The London lawyer ate the chocolate and later complained that the image was “very inappropriate” for children.
The image is in fact an upside down depiction of a horse’s head.
Nestle responded with the following apology:
‘Nestlé is surprised and sorry to hear that Mr Jacobs thought the picture on the Milkybar resembles male genitalia, it is in fact an image of a horse’s head, the Milkybar Kid’s horse.
‘There was no intention to mislead or depict anything offensive on our product and we apologise for any confusion or embarrassment this may have caused.’
