London opens its first naked eatery – what!

We’ve heard about nude beaches but a nude restaurant?… this must be a first!

London’s Shoreditch will welcome a new pop-up dining experience tomorrow in the form of a naked eatery which will be open for the next 3 months. According to KFM radio – about 40 000 people are on the waiting list! (we’ve just check the website and the number has risen to over 45 000) so clearly a lot of Londoners are keen on the idea of taking off their kit! Who would have thought.

The Bunyadi is a pop-up restaurant which will be opening its doors and having diners strip down, before being seated. They aren’t allowed cell phones on them either so no inappropriate social media posts. Eek.

With only 42 guests allowed at a time, those that want to book a table will have to go into changing rooms and will be given the option of wearing a gown, or partially wearing a gown or simply wearing… nothing. Thankfully for those who are not completely comfortable with baring it all, there are two sections to The Bunyadi, a clothed section as well as a ‘naked’ and ‘pure’ section.

Founder Seb Lyall told MailOnline, ‘We believe people should get the chance to enjoy and experience a night out without any impurities: no chemicals, no artificial colours, no electricity, no gas, no phone and even no clothes if they wish to. The idea is to experience true liberation.’

I’m not sure how I feel about eating around other nude bodies. Munching on my pasta while a stranger sits totally starkers beside me. Imagine enjoying a delicious meal and suddenly someone gets up and bumps into you by accident, completely naked – not too sure how that would go down. And don’t even get me started on the hygiene issue!

One thing is for sure, there will be no pesky red wine stains on you white shirt!
