La Colombe head chef to open new restaurant in Franschhoek

Cape Town 13 December –  Food24 was alerted to the announcement that The Leeu Collection are set to open a new restaurant in Franschhoek in the existing space where The Tasting Room is – at Le Quartier Français.

In a media statement Scot Kirton – Executive Chef of La Colombe said, “We immediately saw the synergy between Constantia and Franschhoek, both the Franschhoek and Constantia Valleys are tourism destinations of world-renown; offering only the best wine and gourmet experiences South Africa has to offer. We look forward to the journey and working with the team at Le Quartier Français to jointly develop a world class culinary experience.”

Young Head Chef, James Gaag will also be heavily involved in driving this venture, ensuring that La Colombe’s refined and dazzling style of cuisine shines through.

La Colombe has a rich and illustrious history winning numerous local and international awards under the helm of the likes of Scot, Luke Dale-Roberts and Franck Dangereux – so there’s no doubt that there will be much anticipation around the opening of this new spot (name still to be revealed) which will start welcoming guests in the second half of 2017.
