Instead of the usual clothing line, cologne or restaurant chain – Kid Rock, has chosen to launch his own brand of beer.
Kid Rock has partnered with Drinks America Holdings Limited, the makers of Donald Trump vodka and Willie Nelson bourbon, to launch the new brand of beer that will be produced by the Michigan Brewing Company.
The project will benefit all those involved. The brewer gets a tax credit, and producing the new beer will create about 400 new jobs in the state of Michigan.
They hope to create a beer that will parallel the “sex drugs and rock n’ roll” and cowboy attitude that Rock has created.
Michigan Brewing Company owner, Bobby Mason, says he hopes to have the Kid Rock branded beer in stores sometime in the spring. The beer’s name, style and pricing have yet to be determined, and Kid Rock is working closely with the company to make those decisions.
“He’s tasting the beers,” Mason said. “It’s his idea, it’s his concept.”
