It’s become the norm to open up a restaurant menu and see an influx of “Banting friendly” protein based meals, as more diners attempt to watch their carb intake. But whether or not KFC was following suit is debatable, as the news of the Double Down Dog has taken social media by storm.
Eater was seen tweeting earlier today that ” KFC’s Double Down Dog is lurking in the corners of your worst nightmare” as many stand in agreement. Times.com being one of them as they went on to refer to the Double Down Dog as gluttony made easy.
This creation seems to have now taken over from the original Double Down Sandwich which makes use of two deep fried chicken patties in place of the bread- and frankly one would’ve thought that to have been enough.
Whatever the traction KFC Phillpines seems to be taking full advantage of the stir and has taken to Twitter despite all the negativity saying “All 50 pcs of the all new KFC Double Down Dog have been sold out!”
