Juniper berries

Slightly soft, darkish purple berries with “piney” flavour. These berries provide the main flavouring of gin, they are aromatic and spicy.

Use: They can be used fresh, dried, crushed or whole. They’re great in casseroles, stuffings, cake toppings, puddings, marinades and stuffings. Pork, game and beef are especially good with juniper berries.
