Hi everyone,
Life has been flash-fry busy of late. Spring always keeps us
busy with a shower of restaurant openings and new menus to savour.
With the influx of new ingredients to play with, the recipes
and blogs are so gorgeous we’re *fainting* with screen-lickable hunger.
And the cocktails! We’ve got a slurp-worthy section,
dedicated to those long cool drinks we all need when the weather warms up and
it’s time to play.
Food24 has also had something under our hats for a little
while and it all exploded last Friday night. The Spier Secret Festival dinners
have been under way with the last wave this past weekend. I
was asked host a dinner, which I jumped at (it’s a huge honour) and it’s been
an amazingly creative experience.
We plotted and conjured around the Magic Faraway Tree theme
for weeks and weeks and held the supper which proved a truly bewitching
evening. Take a look at all the gorgeous pics of the décor, food and fun.
The Spier Secret Festival conference and market is to be
held at the end of October, the market on Saturday is free so pop along and
see, it’s going to be wonderful. It’s a celebration of the creativity of food
and some world class icons will be there to share their knowledge at the
conference. Nothing could keep me away from it, I suggest you go too.
So in the name of inspiration, sharing, fun and a bit of
magic, let’s bring in summer, with love and all things food.
