Ice cream sundae in a can

Chef Dominique Ansel has done it again. He’s introduced the world to something magical. An ice cream sundae served in a tin can from a… wait for it… food truck called ‘Pop it’. He could not be cooler right now.

Rewind back to 2013 when Ansel brought us the Cronut. His ground-breaking foodie idea spread across the globe, and now he’s taken things to a new level.

Huffington Post reports that the innovative chef will be selling Warhol-inspired cans filled with ice cream sundaes.

Flavours will include:

– Mini marshmallow and meringues

– Root beer and stracciatella

– Macerated cherries

– Mascarpone semi-freddo.

The catch? This ice cream food truck will only operate for one day (2 August) in East Hampton with 20 percent of the proceeds going to City Harvest, a New York based charity. The ice cream cans don’t come cheap though. Each serves 2 people and will sell for 15$ (R160).

Could someone beam us over to East Hampton tomorrow morning? That mini marshmallow and meringue has our name on it!
