Hilarious campaign shames restaurants for not serving food on plates

Remember the first time you ordered fish and chips at Ocean Basket? It arrived at the table in a frying pan! How novel!

Have some restaurants, hipster and otherwise, gone too far by serving food in hats, tin cans, shoes, slates, logs of wood, and chopping boards?

@wewantplates is a Twitter campaign started by journalist, Ross McGinnes, 40, to rally against restaurants that serve food in novelty dishes. There are 19.6K followers on Twitter. Chefs and restaurants defend their right to creative freedom.
