Have a taste of George

According to slashfood.com, the delectable George Clooney was asked by PETA if he would donate some of his sweat in order to create a George Clooney tasting tofu, called CloFu. Apparently, technology that turns your perspiration into tofu actually exists!

Liz Graffeo of PETA says that it involves gas chromatography and mass spectrometry (whatever that is) and that researchers use a panel of trained individuals with sensitive noses to identify different components in people’s odours. Once certain odours have been smelled out those flavours are replicated and infused into bean curd.

PETA believes that once people realise that tofu isn’t as bland as they thought, they will begin to include it in their diets. Yes, like I’d buy Clooney–sweat flavoured tofu – yuck!

Their reasoning is if we can eat chicken flavoured gravy why is that so different from tasting human flavoured tofu? Let me think, one word – cannibalism.

Hopefully this is one of PETA’s publicity stunts. He might be good to look at but not good enough to eat!

Has PETA lost the plot completely?
