Give peas a chance

You don’t have to be the biggest Beatles fan in the whole wide world to know that Sir Paul McCartney is the planet’s most famous veggie.

Just ask the President of the Vegetarian Society of Great Britain’s estranged wife, Heather Mills. She is just one of many women that Sir Paul has weaned off the meat.

Even his latest lady love, Nancy Shevell has gone to the green side, giving up her beloved steaks. The happy couple were spotted on more than one occasion on their recent American road trip enjoying avocado sandwiches and tomato soup as padkos.

And lest we forget his famous daughter, fashion designer, Stella McCartney is also a shining beacon of eco-fabulousness.

Converting the world’s meat eaters one woman at a time is not enough – McDonalds has become the most recent focus of Sir Paul’s eco-ttention.

McCartney vs McDonalds

He was outraged when he discovered that a McDonald’s owner in Liverpool had hung a portrait of The Beatles in a prime position in his store. Sir Paul thought the manager was using The Beatles to promote eating meat.

He is urging fans to boycott the fast-food chain, and not just the one in Liverpool.

However when the hunger pangs strike, I doubt that even Sir Paul could stop me from ordering a Big Mac Meal(supersize me) and a Hippy Hippy Shake to go.

Would you turn veggie for your other half?
