Nagelkaas (cheese seasoned with cloves or caraway seed or both) is typical, as are Friese kruidkoek (Frisian ginger cake), oranjekoek (orange cake, Fryske dúmkes (Frisian thumbs) and sûkerbôle (sugar bread).
