Food24’s top twitter foodies

So last week @CathyMarston our beloved wine editor on @food24 asked who your favourite foodies were on Twitter. She highlighted how a lot of small businesses are ‘winning’ with social media by tweeting about what they are up to and accumulating loyal followers.

There is no denying the power of Twitter and if you can say what you have to say in 140 characters to interact with like-minded people, then what better way to make use of an incredible social network and connect with potential customers and/or friends  aka “tweeps”. Long-winded press releases are so last decade…

@food24 has over 5000 followers, which we are very proud of, but for us, Twitter is about sharing foodie news and awesome recipes and finding, sorry, following, interesting foodie types like those mentioned in Cathy’s article.

Not only food bloggers and restaurants but ordinary folk who share food and wine news and are equally excited to hear about it and RT it. (That’s retweet if you’re new here). And of course the people out there making the bacon, as it were.
