Food24Bytes: We chat to the SA pioneer of the trending vegetable ‘pasta’ – a world first

If you know someone who is following a low carb diet, you’ll want to tell them about this – if they don’t know already! A South African company called Dew Crisp is changing the way that people slurp their pasta. How? By making the ‘pasta’ out of vegetables. And don’t get confused with the spiralised raw veggies you see on shelves. This pasta is essentially already ‘cooked’ meaning all you have to do is pop it in some boiling water for a few minutes.

Bruce Glazer, CEO of Dew Crisp says, “The low-carb food space in South Africa remains ripe for innovation and, as such, the opportunity for Dew Crisp to partner with the technology owner of this exciting product, in developing and commercialising a number of vegetable-based products, was welcomed. We are proud to be an industry leader in innovation, having successfully introduced and developed many new, exciting and highly innovative ‘firsts’ into the South African market.”

Our editor nabbed 10 minutes of Bruce’s time to chat to him more about this exciting development. Pop in your earphones and have a listen!
