Col’Cacchio Knysna is located on Thesen Island with great views of the Lagoon and a kiddies’ playground, the latter might not sound that appealing, but if you’ve got kids then I’m sure it sounds fantastic. Well equipped with jungle gyms, swings and rocking horses, it’s the perfect playground – team that with a great kiddies’ menu and you have ‘parent-heaven’.
The menu is naturally the same as the other Col’ Cacchio’s but, it is a great menu, and the pizzas and salads are as good as at any other. I do love their pizza foro (pizza with a whole in the middle filled with salad), their ½ and ½ options on pizzas and the fact that Col’ Cacchio offers an abundance of healthy dishes. (Especially when trying somehow to maintain a ‘bikini-body’ whilst on holiday at the beach.)
The manager is lovely, and is more than happy to help patrons with whatever they need. The waiters too, are polite and very helpful although it can sometimes be a little difficult to get their attention. Great wine by the glass options and a great wine list make this an all-round great spot.
