Food as art: The food we love so much we’d have them as tattoos

Rumble & Hum

Processed with Snapseed.

When we heard the second season of Rumble & Hum (starring Lewis “Vudulew” Williams) is coming to CBS Reality this month, it immediately got us thinking: is there any food item we love so much we’d have it tattooed on our bodies? The answer, of course, is yes! And we’re not alone … When Lewis was recently asked what the funniest tattoo he’s ever done is, he said: “A full back tattoo of bacon, eggs and toast with ‘Wakey, wakey, eggs and bakey’ on it for a good friend. He probably isn’t the most stable of human beings but that’s probably the funniest and strangest request I’ve ever had!” While we think that’s going a tad too far, there is some food we’d love to have with us forever and always.

Food24’s head of content, Tessa Purdon, says she would go for fries – #potatoesforever!

Katy Rose, our social media manager, says for her it’s ice cream forever, and she would go for a beautiful ice cream cone – complete with flake – on her arm.

Lauren Goldman, our commissioning editor, would love a bowl of pasta on her ankle and a slice of pizza on her arm. “Is that too much or can I fit in maki somewhere as well?” she laughs.

Natalie Wilson, the head of Food24, says she’d get an avo on her wrist. “Just to remind me when I’m having a bad day that avo exists.”

Do you have any food tattoos? Or is there any food you heart so much you’d want it inked on your body? Let us know in the comments below! If you need some tattoo inspo, remember to watch Rumble & Hum on Saturdays and Sundays on CBS Reality (132) at 19:30. There’s plenty of drama and pranks to go along with life in Lewis’s tattoo parlour – plus some of the wackiest tattoos you’ll ever see. We guess the customer is always right, right?
