It’s finally here.
The thought of sleeping in, reading books and drinking truckloads of wine at lunchtime is becoming an exciting reality.
I am almost living in my daydream… the smoky braai that burns the whole afternoon and the happy sizzle of chops that flavour the whole house with rosemary. Maybe later after the last swim, we’ll feel indulgent and throw on some spicy prawns and suck their shells with sticky fingers and garlic grins, washed down with some icy lemonade or some pink bubbles for fun. It can’t possible come too soon.
