Jean-Claude and Carolyn Martin have years of passion for wine behind them, both hailing from families who have been part of the wine industry for generations. Carolyn is passionate, she loves wine, maybe more than most, and she knows exactly how to run this 40 hectare estate. She is a boss and a wealth of wine knowhow.
Creation Wines is designed with the foodie in mind, when visiting, the wine and food pairings are essential. When I said I’d order the risotto, she looked at me and asked if I liked to eat meat. Fluttering my eyes I jumped at the chance for her personal recommendation of springbok and pork belly; both dishes paired with one of my now all time favourite merlots.
Creation proudly participates in the Biodiversity & Wine Initiative and sets examples for long term sustainability programmes not only in the Overberg region, but throughout South Africa. They are one of only 9 wineries in the nation that have received the EnviroWines accreditation and are immensely proud of every earth friendly achievement and award they receive. It is JC and Carolyn’s mission to leave a legacy of sustainability that doesn’t compromise the integrity of beautifully made wine.
