Family feasting

I do love this time of year.

The trees are turning, the mornings are cooler and the air feels cleaner. Mother Nature’s mood is changing.

I’m feeling like I need to be a bit cosier, I’m making more casseroles of late and my big soup pot has made an appearance already.

It’s also the perfect weather for a braai, not too scorching hot and plenty of time to enjoy time outside with a glassie and some relaxed family time.

The extra fabulous thing about this time of year is that it’s Easter, so chocolate has the green light and there’s buckets of it around – guilt-free… of course.

If you’re doing the Two Oceans Cape Town marathon, you might be carbo-loading like crazy or, if you’re on the famed LCHF or ‘banting’ diet, you’ll be chomping on some serious low carb meals – what’s your take on it all?

Whatever you’re doing this Easter weekend, cooking and sharing deliciousness, in my opinion, is simply the happiest way to spend quality time with family and friends.

Take a look around our gorgeous Easter hub for all things roasted and there are gorgeous baked goodies too for young and small. I mean, mini hot cross bun doughnuts? *faint*

So let the good time roll dear foodies.
