Extreme milkshakes are the next big thing

Our hearts almost stopped when we were alerted to a Buzzfeed article featuring the humble milkshake like you’ve never seen it before!

Brace yourself.

From Dominique Ansel’s cronut and frozen S’mores to edible coffee cups and more. Never have we seen something so jaw-dropping and adorned with such extravagance.

The milkshakes emerge from the kitchen of Black Tap in New York City’s Meat Packing district where diners are enticed by the sheer “wow factor” of the creative drinks. They aren’t cheap either. Ranging between 7 and 15 US dollars (approx R252!), you’d have to be totally committed to ordering and finishing one. Not for the faint-hearted, that’s for sure!

There’s not much more to say except… take a moment to. Just. look!

If this kind of thing is right down your alley and you can’t make it to New York (let’s face it – who can with the current exchange rate?!) you may like to check out My Sugar in Sea Point, Cape Town.
