Never mind carbs, a high sugar intake can have serious repercussions like type 2 diabetes and obesity and with the SA National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey stating that the average citizen consumes 17 teaspoons of sugar and similar sweeteners in a day, we’ve got some serious work to do.
