Child-friendly eating

How do you feel about kids at restaurants?

If you’re like me and have spawned a couple of the little monsters, you have no choice but to fake-grin through all the times your children have a great time in the tiny little space in front of you.

A great time for them means shrieking, bashing, tomato sauce-wiping, sugar-throwing, jumping, straw-gurgling and peals of high-pitched giggles.

Not so fabulous for the fellow diner, especially if they haven’t had the exhausting amazing experience of having their own little darlings.

The whole darn reason for this fervent delirium is because our little munchers are bored. So what’s the answer? It’s simple, they need entertainment and fun and cool things to do.

And any parent will agree with me, I worship the ground of any restaurateur who serves good food in a child-friendly atmosphere. A sandpit, a jungle gym, hell a box of toys, we just need some extras to help our angels with their ADD.

So clever us over here at food24 have started some delicious collections for you. We’d really like you to get involved and share your special places to go, too. We’ll give the best one a R250 Kalahari voucher to buy them something funky.
