Catch Rachel Ray on etv

The Rachael Ray Show is her first talk show and is produced by Oprah’s production company, King World.

The show features celebrity guests like Oprah, Dr Phil and many more who all cook up a storm with her. Going beyond the kitchen, Rachael provides her viewers practical advice on entertaining and tips on how to improve your life.

Born in New York, the Ray family owned several restaurants and Rachael worked her way up the food service industry.

She started out working for Macy’s, the world’s largest department store, where she worked as manager of the Fresh Foods Department.

She got her introduction to television while working at a food equipment store in Albany as a buyer and cook. She began a series of cooking classes to increase grocery sales during the holidays. The 30 Minute Meals classes became so popular that the local media sent a feature reporter to cover the phenomenon, and the following week, an Albany TV station asked Rachael to do a weekly 30 Minute Meals segment for the evening news.

The Food Network picked up the show in 2001 and from that the $40 A Day , Inside Dish and Tasty Travels followed. She’s published 11 cookbooks and followed in Martha Stewart’s footsteps and launched her own magazine called: Every Day With Rachael Ray in 2005.

She has won legions of fans for her fresh-faced, bouncy, “golly-gee” character, which has seen her popularise phrases such as “yum-o”, “so delish”, “G.B.” (garbage bowl), “Oh my gravy!”, “stoup” (cross between a soup and stew), and “how good is THAT?”

The Rachael Ray Show averages about 2.6-million viewers daily in the US, making it one of the highest-viewed daytime shows.
