Camps Bay gets its first bistro-bakery

The famous La Belle Bistro and Bakery has come to Camps Bay. After more than two years of great success at The Alphen Boutique Hotel in Constantia, it was time to share the concept of casual, affordable dining with the Camps Bay strip.

In the crowded Cape Town restaurant market, La Belle Bistro & Bakery is a refreshing concept aimed at the locals.

This is the first of its kind bistro-bakery to open its doors in Camps Bay to bring beautiful salads, fresh quiches, warm-from-the-oven baked goods and freshly-pressed organic juices to the locals.

Simone Kovensky, wife of owner Paul Kovensky, researched the popularity of this type of establishment in Paris, London, Barcelona and New York, and brimming with inspiration she did the décor, food sourcing and menus. Drawing on their global experience on patisseries, bistros and casual dining, Paul and Simone created a spot where everyone feels welcome.

As you walk through the door, you will be embraced by the homely smell of freshly baked bread. Enjoy ricotta hotcakes with honeycomb butter, a roast mushroom and camembert sandwich, local fresh black mussels or pork belly with sweet corn fritters in the most delightful environment.

Sip on anything from a freshly pressed beetroot, carrot, celery and cucumber juice to a cosmopolitan cocktail or a glass of bubbly. The service, just like the ambience, is warm and friendly.
