Cape Town’s iconic, and culturally rich neighbourhood, Bo-Kaap holds a distinctive culinary heritage that is very much alive today. The Bo-Kaap Cooking Tour aims to promote and share this heritage with tourists and locals, taking them on a tour of the area, followed by a cooking class with Zainie Misbach, local chef and restaurateur. The idea is to shine a light on the area’s cafe’s and food shops and discover the flavours that have been influenced by India and Malaysia, held in the distinctive Cape Malay cuisine.
