Blogger openly asks restaurants to host her family for a free Christmas dinner

Woah woah woah, blogs aren’t written to get free
stuff?

What am I in this business for? I can tell you I’m certainly not
writing to engage like-minded people who have a passion for food, travel, and
maybe some chocolate covered bacon.

There’s lots of talented competition out there, so why would I, as a writer and
blogger,  wait to be approached when I could just write a faceless email
asking to be hosted on one of the most important family nights of the year?

The answer is, I wouldn’t.  I’m savouring the tiny bit of self
respect I have left, after years of plowing through my pride embarrassing myself.  I’m holding
onto it, because I’m sure I’ll need it for the future.

But American blogger, Sarah Lockard, must be balls deep in dignity because it looks like she’s got plenty to spare.  Sure, it’s a fine balance between selling your soul and marketing yourself, but damn, Lockard seems pretty off-kilter.

According to Eater.com Sarah Lockard, an averagely popular blogger from Philly (USA),
has sent out an email to ‘Host the Awesome Lockards on Christmas Eve.’

Restaurateurs were so irritated that one forwarded the email to Eater.com.

P.S.  Milk and Cookies is looking for a new set of cutlery and a 3 piece
couch… anyone want the pleasure?  I just found some spare self-respect in my
left pocket.

Here’s the cheeky email:
