Michael cooks for his husband Mark in their home and their breakfasts are totally drool-worthy! If they are not travelling the world having wonderful breakfasts, they are in their Shenghai home dancing along to their breakfast playlist while enjoying these delicious looking SYMMETRICAL plates of goodness. How Michael gets them this perfect, is beyond us! Take a look…

1. Rice with furikake, tamagoyaki seasoned with dark soy, fresh homemade miso soup with kelp and fresh tofu, walnuts and strawberries with Moriucha Koucha tea

2. Filled spinach tortilla parcels with refried beans, queso asadero, quails eggs, onion and hot sauce with avocado, tomato and sour cream

3. Rice, furikake, avocado, unagi (my favourite!) pickled cucumber, tomato and some miso soup

4. Breakfast in Tokyo: Tamagoyaki, spam onigiri, miso soup, tomato, grapes and nuts

5. A Middle Eastern Feast, a base of homemade houmous, topped with cucumber, tomato, chickpeas, egg, feta, pomegranate, parsley and toasted sesame seeds, with some also homemade cumin flatbreads ripped into pieces like edible spoons, gorgie little satsuma/tangerines with the leaves on that always reminds me of Christmas (also the easy peel ones wrapped in paper) and a cup of Shire Highlands

6. Panda rice, each filled with a pickled plum, tamagoyaki filled with nori seaweed, some delightful strawberries and kiwi and washed down with a cup of Japanese tea, Moruchi Koucha

7. Bircher muesli, overnight oats, lazy arse porridge, whatever you want to call it topped with all kinds of fancy stuff, like fruit and toasted seeds. A cup of Keemun tea and a carrot juice

8. Kimchi Fried Rice, for breakfast, with a fried egg, soy beans, carrot, rocket, black sesame and hot sauce. A cup of Keemun tea and a little yoghurt and berries to finish
