12 – Whisky and Cigars tasting event (Polokwane)

14 & 15 – The Franschhoek Bastille Festival (Winelands)

This premium French cultural event in South Africa is hosted every year in the Huguenot town of Franschhoek. Expect wine, french food stalls, outdoor activities, live music and film screenings. Tickets available through Webtickets

15,22,29: Delheim Jazz and Cheese Fondue (Winelands)

26 – Caroline’s Annual Red Wine Review 2018 (Cape Town)

Once a year, Caroline’s Fine Wine Merchants present the Red Wine Review. Meet the top sixty South African red winemakers and taste their best red wines. Be sure to keep an eye out for event special prices on some of the top wine labels. Tickets available at Computicket, regret no Under 18’s.

28 – Ultra Mussels Wine Celebration (Cape Town) 

Cape Town restaurant Den Anker and Ultra Liquor present the Ultra Mussel festival at the V&A Waterfront. Each ticket gets you 1kg of fresh mussels, a souvenir wine glass, wine tastings and live entertainment.  No U18’s. Tickets available at Webtickets. 

28 – Pinotage on Tap (KwaZulu-Natal)

3-5 Slow Food and Wine Festival (Winelands) 

The 12th annual Slow Food & Wine Festival is a way for the producers of the much-loved Robertson Wine Valley to share their belief in a slow way of life with food and wine enthusiasts. Events planned include fireside dinners in the homes of the valley’s winemakers, dining in underground cellars, single vineyard tastings, food and wine pairings as well as game drives, horse outings and boat rides. 4 – Woodstock Winter Beer Festival (Cape Town)
